What is LazMall?

LazMall is Lazada's premium brand store tier — the equivalent of Shopee Mall on the Lazada platform. Stores with LazMall status display a blue LazMall badge on their listings and shop page, signalling to buyers that the store is officially operated by the brand owner or an authorised distributor and that products are guaranteed authentic.

When buyers use the "LazMall" filter in Lazada search, only LazMall stores appear. This is one of the most significant conversion advantages in Lazada — a large proportion of high-intent buyers use this filter specifically to avoid grey market or counterfeit goods.

LazMall eligibility requirements

To qualify for LazMall in Singapore, you must meet all of the following:

Required documents

Prepare these before starting your application:

Document tip: Authorisation letters must be original (not copies) and clearly state: the brand name, the authorised entity, the territory (Singapore at minimum), the product categories covered, and an expiry date or "valid until further notice" statement. Vague authorisation letters are the most common reason for rejection.

How to apply for LazMall

  1. Log in to Lazada Seller Centre (seller.lazada.sg) and go to your account profile section.
  2. Find the LazMall application — look for "Apply for LazMall" or "Brand Upgrade" in the account settings. The exact location may shift between Seller Centre updates; search the help section if you cannot find it.
  3. Complete the brand application form — you will need to enter brand details, upload trademark certificates, and describe your authorisation.
  4. Upload required documents — all documents must be clear, legible scans or photos. Blurry uploads cause delays.
  5. Submit and wait — Lazada reviews applications manually. Standard review time is 2–4 weeks. You will receive an email notification when the decision is made.
  6. If rejected — Lazada typically provides a reason. Common rejection reasons: incomplete authorisation documentation, trademark coverage gaps, performance metrics below threshold. Address the specific issue and reapply.

Is LazMall worth the higher commission?

For most established brands, yes. The LazMall filter is used heavily by buyers who have been burned by counterfeits — especially in health, beauty, electronics, and fashion. These buyers convert at significantly higher rates and have lower return rates.

The typical outcome we see for brands upgrading to LazMall: conversion rate improves 15–40% for the same search traffic volume, driven entirely by the trust signal of the badge and the filter-based discoverability. In most categories, this more than compensates for the higher commission rate.

The case is weaker if you sell in categories where counterfeiting is less prevalent (e.g. furniture, home decor) or if your price point is very low and margin is thin.

LazMall vs Shopee Mall — do you need both?

If you are serious about Singapore ecommerce, yes — you should be pursuing both. Shopee and Lazada serve overlapping but distinct buyer bases. Shopee skews younger and is more discovery-driven; Lazada attracts more intent-driven buyers who use filters more actively. Mall status on both platforms is the baseline expectation for established brands.
